Fitting Exercise Into A Busy Day: Essential Health Help

If your schedule gets you up and running beginning at 9 in the morning until six in the evening, this day represents 9 hours. There are 24 hours a day and we’re not advising you get up at 3 in the morning to do your exercise.

But have you ever thought that if you get up at 7 to be ready for 9, maybe you can set your alarm clock 45 minutes earlier, using these 45 minutes to engage in a physical activity? If you do this three times a week, that means you have 135 minutes that you can allocate for exercise.

One easy way to do this is to do yoga in the morning (it requires only a mat and comfortable, loose clothing), or turn on a fitness CD/DVD, or buy a treadmill (the foldable ones) that you can jump into as soon as you wake up.

Another time management tip: not only do busy managers have back-to-back meetings, they also have luncheon and dinner meetings to meet with clients. Assess each client. Do all of them really need to be wined and dined? Is an hour long meeting absolutely essential? Can’t a deal be struck on the phone?

Assess how many meetings you can cancel or shorten. Then fit your exercise program into those slots that have been freed up.

How about this suggestion: instead of going to lunch with clients every day of the week, why don’t you schedule lunch meetings for say Monday and Tuesday? This way you can incorporate a fitness routine for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm.

A brisk walk inside or outside the office building, a quick swim in the neighborhood hotel, a Pilates course in the recreational centre, lifting dumb bells while on the phone?

Any of these options is better than no exercise. Your guiding principle should be to move, move, move as often as you can manage it.

Just as ergonomic experts are recommending to office workers to take their eyes off their computer screen every hour or so, fitness experts are advocating getting up from your chair and taking a walk and climbing up and down the stairs.

When you feel the need to take a break, offer to pick up supplies for your colleagues, take the mail downstairs instead of waiting for the trolley, or think of something you could put in your car instead of waiting until 5 pm. That way, you force yourself to get up from your seat and walk for a few minutes.

If you look into the private offices of some people, you’ll see dumb bells, mats and elastic bands – these are clues that they are doing some exercise while on the job – a good and healthy practice to adopt by busy individuals with hectic schedules.

On the weekends when you join the family in their activities, try to incorporate exercise into these activities; if the kids are into cycling, join them for bike rides. Are they off to their swimming lessons or skating lessons? See if you can sign up in the adults section, or take a walk outside the recreational center while waiting for them.

Who says you can’t burn calories while doing housework or gardening? Take a breather from your hectic schedule and devote some down time to tending to your lawn, trimming your rose bushes, scrubbing the kitchen and bathroom floors, etc.

Find Stress Relief

Emotions ride with us throughout the day no matter where we are, what we do, whom we talk with, or where we work. When these emotions are positive, when we have a smile on our face, and we outwardly express our positive attitude towards everyone we meet, the day is full of joy. When negative emotions rule the day, however, the opposite occurs. We unknowingly transmit these negative emotions through our facial expression, through our body language, and through our voice tone. Negative vibes are even noticed when you speak on the phone which is a fact that telemarketing sales companies are very aware of. If you doubt this, just try a little experiment by placing a mirror in front of you, pretend to make a call to a friend, and while you are speaking, smile. Your voice tone changes, and your warmth is reflected outward. Now, do the same with a frown on your face, or at a time when you are feeling stressed, and you’ll see the difference (the mirror shows a smiling, happy face), and hear the difference in your tone.

This little exercise should convince you that when you start your day out feeling upset, or frustrated, the negative emotion will be reflected in every circumstance and to all those you meet whether in person or on the phone. So, if these negative emotions are dominant, what can you do as a stress relief technique?

While stress relief techniques vary, one of the best is through exercise. This exercise can be anything from jogging, brisk walking, and using a treadmill, skating and so on. Other forms of stress relief, for some people, comes in the form of listening to relaxing music, or preparing a meal, or enjoying the time spent when engaged in a favourite sport, or reading inspirational poems. And, while all of these options are available, there is an even stronger method available that you have complete control over and can be used at anytime, and in any location. This method, simply stated, is choice.

You have the choice to decide; you can choose to let issues rule your thoughts and control how you react. You have the option to choose how you will react to any given situation. No one else controls your emotions but you. So, why would you let an external event control how you feel? You don’t have to.

If something said to you starts to annoy you, take action to resolve it in a calm way rather than lashing out at everyone or everything. This kind of displaced emotion serves to do nothing more than give credence that you are not in control of your own emotions. Lashing out never solves anything. All it does do is give you even more additional stress from the response of those you lashed out against. Now, the emotional hole is only getting deeper and deeper with no ladder visible in order for you to climb out.

Your emotions never take a vacation; they are always with you from dawn till dusk. If these negative emotions remain unresolved, they will begin to affect your health, those around you, and all those you will meet. They will go with you in the car, at work, grocery shopping, or speaking to your children or spouse. Take control; you do have the choice. Do it for your health!

Is Hair Transplant Surgery A Safe Hair Loss Treatment?

A few people have been so disappointed and even angered about their results that they have filed class action lawsuits against hair transplant surgeons and clinics.surgical hair transplant is not for everyone. There are quite a few reasons for their dissatisfaction.

1. Underestimating Procedures. Certain clinics and surgeons underestimate the number of hair restoration surgery procedures necessary to achieve the desired effect. This tends to give people to have a false hope of having a full head of hair in a very short time. But hey are understandably angry when this does not happen.

2. Price underestimation. Surgeons usually do give some sort costing of the entire procedure of a surgical hair transplant . A good surgeon will emphasize that it is only an estimate and that things may change once the procedures are started. She will also give an honest accounting of what she expects the procedure to cost.

On the other hand ,an unscrupulous surgeon, will distort the facts about his hair transplant surgery procedures. He will manage to get the patient started by stating that the price will be very low. He will know all along that the procedures will cost much more, but he will underestimate the cost anyway just to get the patient started so that they have to finish.

3. All surgical hair transplant will create small scars, unacceptable by some people. They want to have short hair, and they also want see the scar peeking out from under their hair, even if no one else does. There are ,of course, physicians with poor skills who create large scars and people who are prone to scarring. Hair restoration scars are a sore subject for man people.

4. A few people who have hair transplant surgery end up with uneven hairlines. This is mainly caused by the oversight of negligent doctors. If a patient gets to work with a reputable surgeon, things like this just do not happen. But if someone has seen a person with this problem, it will likely turn them off to surgical hair transplant surgery for good.
