Diabetes is the metabolic condition of health that many people are afraid of, and yet it affects about 5 percent of the world’s population. More than fifty percent of Americans have or know someone who have the disease.
There are two different types: Type one and Type two. Type two is known as adult diabetes while type one is known as juvenile diabetes.
With Type 1 the pancreas stops making insulin after being attacked by a virus. With Type 2 the body gradually becomes resistant to insulin and does not produce enough to deal with the intake of sugar.
Although modern Western medicine does not agree with the thought that reversing diabetes is possible, there are several nutritionist who would argue that. They believe that reversing diabetes does not involve any kind of drug such as the insulin pill or injection, but instead a far more challenging task, changing lifestyles and eating habits.
The fatty acids are important for the metabolism and the role of protection in our body. As fatty acids are digested, they are used by the body to protect cells and use insulin correctly and without fail. If the fatty acids are damaged, insulin resistance is created which leads to diabetes.
This and a deficiency of chromium are two problems that, if corrected, nutritional experts believe can reverse diabetes.
