Muhammad Ali - surely the greatest boxer of all time. “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” sums up his unconventional, but devastatingly effective, approach to boxing. He invented the famous ‘Ali shuffle’ where he would disconcert his opponents by ‘dancing’ around them, only to deliver a devastating punch out of the blue. He was not shy of publicity, at a time when most boxers were more taciturn, allowing their managers to speak for them - Ali could often demolish his opponents psychologically before they got anywhere near the ring.
